Kangana Ranaut, Bollywood actress and BJP MP from Mandi, has apologised for her recent “farm laws” remark. Kangana Ranaut’s apology comes hours after BJP distanced herself from her comments on the controversial laws. In the latest entertainment news, Kangana Ranaut said that she “regrets” her comment on the three farm laws that were at the centre of the farmer’s protest in 2020. For the unversed, speaking to reporters in her Lok Sabha constituency of Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, Kangana Ranaut had said that the three farm laws, rolled back by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government in November 2021, “should be brought back” and “farmers themselves should demand it.”
Releasing a video statement, Kangana Ranaut said, “I have to keep in mind that I am not just an artist but also a BJP worker. My opinions should not be personal and should be the party’s stand. I regret and take my words back if my comments have disappointed someone.”
