The UCMAS International Competition 2024 concluded with resounding success, uniting nearly 6,000 young participants from over 30 countries to celebrate the power of mental math and cognitive skills. The event, held in the presence of esteemed VIPs and dignitaries, marked a significant milestone in the global educational arena.

 

India has long been a land of great mathematicians, from Aryabhata to Ramanujan to Bhaskara, each leaving an indelible mark on the world with their mathematical ingenuity. Today, India continues to excel in the field, as evidenced by its stellar performance at the Universal Concept of Mental Arithmetic System (UCMAS) International Competition 2024 in New Delhi, where the country bagged both the highest individual and team trophies.

 

Over 3 million children across the world have benefited from the Abacus and Mental Arithmetic curriculum, which encourages creativity, visualisation, and focus while developing strong arithmetic abilities.

 

A highlight of the event was the distribution of nearly 6,000 trophies, honoring the exceptional skills and dedication of the participants.

Participation from West Bengal

There were 204 participants from West Bengal and 153 students turned out to be winners that included Champions, 1st, 2nd & 3rd Runner ups. These children were awarded with Cash Prizes, Trophies and certificates. These Children made the state of West Bengal proud in the International Stage.

Saptaparni Mandal, a girl aged only 6 years – who is studying in KG-2 from Sonarpur has won 3rd Runner Up Trophy in the UCMAS International Competition 2024 making West Bengal proud.

Professor Dr. Dino Wong, founder of UCMAS, shared his thoughts on the occasion: “This competition embodies the spirit of international collaboration and the limitless potential of young minds. The students’ achievements today remind us of the importance of nurturing mental agility and confidence in future generations.”

Adding to this, Dr. Snehal Karia, CEO of UCMAS India and organiser of this year’s international competition, remarked: “India’s outstanding performance in this year’s competition is a testament to the dedication of our students and the unwavering support of their families and mentors. UCMAS continues to ignite young minds, building a foundation of mental strength and problem-solving skills that will last a lifetime.”
