Oppo K9s Launched With Snapdragon 778G SoC : Price, Specifications

The Oppo K9s is launched with a 6.55-inch FHD+ (1080×2400 pixels) AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. Apart from the main display, the company is also showcasing two new side-mounted cameras on the right and left of the device.

Notably, the Oppo SmartWatch G20 is also being launched with the same device. Both the panels use a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 reinforced glass layer over the back of the display.

ROG is famous for launching gaming laptop-cum-smartphone-combined devices. It is not that the name has been actively expanding across the world but there is enough going on with the launch of a couple of devices in the past few weeks.

This time, the Chinese brand is stepping into a completely new product category with the smartphone – the phone-based smartwatch. The only product that was introduced in the past is the P33 gaming laptop but this is the company’s first product segment introduction since most of its devices come bundled with a PC or smartwatch in the past.

Camera and Photo

The cameras are a triple-camera setup on the device – two on the top, one on the left. On the front, the company has touted a 120Hz display for recording selfies.

On the back, the company is offering a 64-megapixel triple camera setup with a 120+1 macro setup that features a Sony IMX586 CMOS sensor along with an f/1.8 aperture.

The front cam features a 16-megapixel f/2.8 camera. The camera on the front should be able to capture good selfies. The main camera on the right has a 50-megapixel front camera along with an f/2.2 aperture. The back cameras have two 1.6-megapixel ultrawide cameras.

The triple camera setup on the Oppo K9s includes a 64-megapixel f/1.8 main camera with an f/2.2 aperture.

The screen of the phone-based smartwatch also measures 6.59 inches with a 90Hz refresh rate (FHD+). Moreover, the device also comes with 3D home button flanked by two 3D-mapping laser beams.

This home button is being dubbed as a natural language processor (NLU) and built-in with three blood oxygen measuring and A*69 cryo sensing technology. What’s more, it senses the heart rate, blood pressure, breathing rate, and all else in your body. It’s the feature that is selling this device as a smartwatch first.

The smartphone will come with two devices of the same model number. The main Oppo smartwatch comes with a 6.55-inch FHD+ AMOLED display.

The devices will get a generous amount of RAM that is 8GB and storage is 128GB. There is only one GPU that is Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G processor.

The Oppo K9s with a 48-megapixel quad-camera unit on the back comes with two RGB-LED lights and a 1.6-megapixel ultrawide camera.

There is a Zoom camera on the front. Another battery with a 5000mAh capacity has been provided on the smartphone for the LTE version. The battery backup is also good enough to be used for gaming. The battery backup is pretty impressive as it can charge up to 60 per cent battery in just half an hour.

This feature comes with two USB Type-C charging ports and supports 15W and 35W charging speeds. The company did not announce how much it charges the smartphone.

The Oppo K9s with a 10-watt charging capacity has been priced at ₹32,990. The available color options include Gold Spectrum, Solid Aluminum and Sand Spectrum. The only other colour option is Silver Spectrum.
