Xiaomi has launched its new Lite-series smartphone in India today, with the smartphone dubbed the Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G. The smartphone was first launched in China last month as the Mi 11 Lite 5G, which is now included in the company’s affordable Lite-series range.
This is not the first Lite-series phone that the company launched in India, earlier this year, it had introduced the Lite 5G in India in November last year as the Oppo BBH 102 (with the monochrome display). All in all, the entry-level smartphone is packed with a Snapdragon 778G SoC and Xiaomi claims that the phone is 5g in battery power and up to 33% faster charging compared to the iPhone 11 Pro Max.

Key specifications for the Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G include a 6.2-inch HD+ (1,080 x 2,340 pixels) AMOLED display. The company claims the screen features up to 99% NTSC color accuracy, giving the screen a crisp texture.
As of now, the smartphone is equipped with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G SoC. There is also 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. In terms of optics, there is a quad rear camera setup with an 8MP main camera, which is joined by 2MP ultra-wide angle sensors, a 2MP depth sensor, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, there is a 32MP camera. In terms of connectivity, there is a USB Type-C port, and Bluetooth 5.0 and Wi-Fi 6.0. The company also claims a 25% increase in battery life compared to the Oppo BBH 102 Lite 5G, which was launched just this month. In terms of the dimensions, the Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G measures 120.05mm x 71.29mm x 8.97mm.

As the name suggests, the new smartphone also comes with a Lite tag, which means that the smartphone is made of small, lightweight, and fairly affordable components. The entry-level smartphone starts at ₹ 9,999, and can be bought through Mi.com and Flipkart. Notably, the smartphone is being launched in three colors including Titanium Grey, Titanium Light, and Titanium White.
